Overview

For its 2023 Report on the State of the World’s Preparedness, the Board prioritized three areas of prevention, preparedness and resilience: Leadership and Accountability, Equity and Coherence, making evaluations based on indicators drawn from the GPMB Monitoring Framework for Preparedness. The GPMB identified experts to provide a preliminary assessment of the indicators, before making its own, final evaluation. This appendix provides an overview of key progress, successes, gaps and challenges, and lists priority actions, as identified by the GPMB, based on the expert’s evidence and information. It can be read as a companion piece to the Technical Assessment Report, which is a compilation of the experts’ inputs.
